SV's got 52 seats for 2B and 67 applicants. However, there are 53 appliacnts who stayed < 1KM, the principal said there will be 1 parent out after the balloting. If i am the \"one\", i think i will cry non-stop and go to buy TOTO and sure kena one. -
i guess life's never fair......it'll be our turn next week anna....

If i am one of the 53 parents, i am not sure whether to present to the balloting or not, just worry that i am the "ONE" and when the name being read out, then u will see all the happy faces surrounding you, and the worst case scenario is all of them know you are the lucky "ONE". Or just walk out slowly, with smilling face and pretend you are not the "ONE".

Since the one who is balloted out stay within 1km, the school will most probably ask him to try again under 2C, which most probably will ballot again. Anyway if u were so 'unlucky' to be balloted out during 2B, most probably u be balloted out again during 2C with the tougher competition.
This happened to my colleague before in year 2006 registration for the dragon baby cohort. She stayed within 1km of a popular school, and 2B had one extra applicant. She happened to be the only one balloted out. So she tried again in 2C and was still unsuccessful. Eventually the school took her son in as she had clocked beyond the 40 min hrs requirement for PV and it recognises her commitment to the school. Hence dont lose heart. -
