      schweppes,

I have taken both first and second class on the train before. Second class is not too bad, First class is not very luxurious. Toilets in both classes are dirty. But that is my standard lah, I even think that the toilets in Ngee Ann City are dirty, and I prefer to go to the toilets in Orchard ION 😉

It is more convenient to go to KL Sentral, the station is connected to their LRT.

:thankyou: Tamarind and for including the pics too. Seriously considering going... once I get over the thot of dirty toilets

Like what vk2010 said, good to partake history before we have to say bye bye. Thanks 😉

I am also planning a ride before the rail service cease.

However, I don’t want to go as far as KL.

Is it possible to get off at JB ? What’s there to do and see before heading back ?
I am thinking more of a day trip kind of thing.

In Feb 2011 I travelled to Butterworth (Penang) from Singapore by train.

Stopped over one night at KL.
It’s a pleasant journey. Encourage everyone to try before it’s close at Tanjong Pagar.
