My friend paid for her helper’s tooth extraction: $75 at Q&M. It was unbearable and affecting her ability to work.

Might have to do the same if she cannot tahan till next year.

Where's Q&M? I don't mind helping her with the bill if the pain's unbearable.

          Q&M is everywhere: http://www.qandm.com.sg/clinic.aspx

My friend went to one of the HDB ones (not sure which).

Such a coincidence...my helper also just told me about her toothache(s) and that she intends to tahan until she returns home. If only their insurance covers dental care. Most helpers probably have poor teeth as toothpaste, not to mention dental checkups, is too expensive back home.

Mine went to the dentist few months back. Her tooth broke while she was eating!

Extraction: $50. Done at a neighbourhood clinic at 108 Hougang Ave 1 (Dr Winston). The dental clinic shares a clinic with Dr PK Ang.

BTW, the extraction was well-done. My maid only had pain for 2 hours after extraction. After that was ok. & no painkiller needed (though the dentist did prescribe).

My hubby also went to extract his tooth at the same time. Cheaper, cos my hubby wanna save $$, ask dentist to skip $10 for injection to numb the area. Same thing, my hubby said it was much better than the dentist who did it at NUH.

Thanks mrswongtuition. Do you have the name of the clinic so I can call them? If you prefer, you can PM me.

Your hubby very brave. Went without injection.

Ya, my ex-maid also went for extraction. Her mouth was so smelly when she talked to us. My husband paid for her extraction and after that no more smell.
