Mine went to the dentist few months back. Her tooth broke while she was eating!

Extraction: $50. Done at a neighbourhood clinic at 108 Hougang Ave 1 (Dr Winston). The dental clinic shares a clinic with Dr PK Ang.

BTW, the extraction was well-done. My maid only had pain for 2 hours after extraction. After that was ok. & no painkiller needed (though the dentist did prescribe).

My hubby also went to extract his tooth at the same time. Cheaper, cos my hubby wanna save $$, ask dentist to skip $10 for injection to numb the area. Same thing, my hubby said it was much better than the dentist who did it at NUH.

Thanks mrswongtuition. Do you have the name of the clinic so I can call them? If you prefer, you can PM me.

Your hubby very brave. Went without injection.

Ya, my ex-maid also went for extraction. Her mouth was so smelly when she talked to us. My husband paid for her extraction and after that no more smell.

Thanks moonee. Maid now says she will tahan until she goes home.

Now we must remember to get the agent to chck whether maid has any decay before coming in, highlight to them that they hv to pay for their own dental and its costly here, its always cheaper in their own hometown.

jiebdiaobei, amazing with this attitude you can still tolerate your maid for 2 years ++. Most employers would probably sent her packing after 3 months!!

Now I heard new maid salary is $400. $450 and above are for experienced maid. Try a few agencies to find out and compare. Donโ€™t go to those 14 agencies that gang up and got investigated.

                    Hi

I have a maid who is currently still with me. She still has a loan of 5 months outstanding. If I want to transfer her to another employer without going through maid agency, how can I go about doing it? Would the new employer pay me the balance of her loan?

I had the misfortune of getting a maid who had no teeth and the few that she had were rotten and black. Sent her back to the agent within 24 hours as she couldnt even eat anything. I dont know how she passed her medical. Maybe they dont check the maidโ€™s teeth.
