              Hi 🙂

I myself learn judo and I think it is a very good self defense technique that your children would benefit from. SA Judo School is definitely the best! Since judo is a rare CCA for schools (the best boy school with judo is HwaChong), it would be an easier to get in the school by sports DSA.

                Hi,

                need adv.

finally my girl is turning 6 so I guess right time to start martial arts.
Showed her videos of muay thai, karate, taewando, aikido & judo…
                she chose judo…

anyone here can adv if judo is suitable?
Interested in the singapore judo clu lesson near my house, any parent got any feedback to share? Itsvery affordable so ireally dun mind let her try for 1yr min.
But I think their coach is voluntary so not fixed?

                I will bring her for a trial…

Judo is a good sport, but I would rate it as one of the highest contact sports amongst the martial arts you listed, second to muay thai. If you are ok with that, then you should go ahead. It will help to develop her motor skills and discipline.

Ds#1 takes up judo last month and so far is attending once a week training of 90mins at one of the established dojo in Singapore. So far he seem to enjoy it.

I would like to ask existing judoka or parents of judoka the time you or your child took to complete the next stage Yellow belt? And your journey to attain black belt. I read that judo is a technically demanding sports and it typically takes 5-6 years to attain black belt…

                      Thanks.

After accompanying DS#1 for his judo classes so far, I felt that judo is a technically difficult martial arts / sports. Compared to his immediate precedent taekwondo and precedent karate, judo requires him to grapple the concept of pivoting, leverage, etc.
