CAUTION! Beware of P/T Domestic Helpers
-
Previously, we all know to avoid engaging those foreign domestic maids of others because this violates the rule, so now most of us replace them with the Chinese Nationals. But do you know that a lot of them are actually either over-stayers/illegal immigrants and holding on to a fake permit/pass or, if they are holding a work permit, same as the foreign helpers here, they are not allowed to work for us too?
The govt is now very strict in this. Quite a number of them had been caught and I believe there are still a lot around.
Those who have engaged the Chinese Nationals as your p/t helpers, unless they are PRs or citizens here, else, please protect yourself by ensuring they are legals and are allowed to work at your place by checking their permit and photocopy a set to keep.
Ask for their originals instead of just taking a copied copy from them. For those who keep giving excuses to produce the original permit/pass or what ever they are holding, then most likely they are the illegal ones.
Just be careful. Lots of kpos are around. Lots of spies and eyes everywhere. They are not the only one in trouble if caught. We too! -
Very dangerous…

Thanks for the tip!

OH. NO WONDER!
My mom hired this part time maid from Mainland PRC. She suddenly disappeared a few months ago and we could not contact her at all even up to today.
This part time maid from PRC takes up multiple jobs, including working at a coffee shop.
So we went to the coffee shop and couldn’t find her too. Apparently, she disappeared from the coffee shop too…
I think she got caught? Ah well… -
part-time helpers also need to check their originals docs…isn’t this too troublesome…i do not think it is our job to check on this…

Not your job? Then don't blame the government if you are put behind bars or fined for employing illegals.
