Will they reveal how many applicants within 1 km say, if i reqister on the last day? Anyone knows?

If we use standard deviation (not average deviation as indicated above) and the data found http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/content/2010-p1-registration-phase-2c, assuming normal distribution, there is a:
68% likelihood that the APP for Rulang will be between 205% - 389%. The standard deviation is really too wide to make anymore definite predicton. Its TUR in Phase 2B this year is also higher than average, leaving less places for Phase 2C than normal. I would estimate a 1 in 3 chance for people trying for Rulang in Phase 2C.

If you are outside of 1km Rulang, it is extremely unlikely you even get a chance to ballot in Phase 2C. Better to spend your time researching something else.

this year the APP rate by Phase 2B is higher because they reduce the number from last year 330 places to 300 places this year.but in terms of headcount,it is the same.


As Rulang is nearer to my home and MRT so that i can travel to and from office ,i have no choice but to go for it since there is balloting for less than 1Km.

Hi, I am new here and going for P1 Phase 2c next wk.

Need opinion.

The only school w/i 1km in my area is Jurong West Pri which is unfortunately one of a more popular school in JW. Looking at the stats now only 28 vacancy is available, chances are low for 2c. My backup plan is Xingnan which is 1-2km, not so popular but I am not w/i 1km.

Shld I go for Jurong West balloting or directly to Xingnan to be more safe ?

How about Juying ? I notice it seems that the application is quite low. Any comment on Juying ?

Last year under phase 2C, JW balloted for those staying within 1km and Xingnan balloted for those staying 1-2km. If the same thing happen this year, then u might as well go and ballot for JW, unless Xingnan need not ballot for those staying 1-2 km this year. U need to monitor closely, who knows, JW may not ballot for those staying within 1km this year?

Juying should still have places left at phase 2C(supp). Hence it can be ur back-up should u fail in either JW or Xingnan at phase 2C earlier.

I will walk between Rulang & Shuqun to monitor the reg. no. If Rulang chances very slim, will apply for Shuqun. The problem now is I haven't set a criteria for myself. Even if Rulang is 50-50%, I'm still very very worry. (Don't think i have so much luck.):(
