Just wondering, could it also be allergy to the vaccine? I read somewhere before, there are kids who are allergy to vaccine and end up with a lot of problem. That is why there are some parents who are quite unwilling to give their kids vaccine.

I deal with TCM, so must say 100% of TCM are from china. Must admit there are really ill-evil businessmen out there, but since it is TCM, must still get from China. Now my husband is helping my dad in wholesale of TCM so he travels to China monthly. Lucky for us, we know someone trustworthy and does not have much problem. But must still say, sometimes still being ‘tricked’ by people there who mixed low grades herbs for the price we pay for.
However, I think it is not China, but people who do the business. If they are bad at heart, they can do all sort of rubbish regardless of where they are from. Or is it Chinese who are more cunning?

dont think it is restricted to china chinese alone. it is just that there are too many negative yet true stories about how they made $$$ not just here in but also other countries including china herself.

PRC Chinese has given it a new twist. Since many people still prefer "Made in Italy", it has now emerged that many products are "Made in Italy" by the Chinese

I have no statistics nor hardcore facts to back me up but I think Singapore started pretty much the same way since most immigrants are from China.


However, I believe our strict government played a part in "disciplining" us. Brought up under a stricter environment where corruption is scorned at and unlawful act is strictly prohibited, it has changed and reshaped our society to be much more sohpisticated today. As much as we can dislike the fact that we are being ruled by an iron fist, personally I felt that it was a necessary evil then to transform a group of people known as Singaporeans today who now take pride in our level of quality. I believe today the PRCs who come over to Singapore feel the need to be law-abiding here, otherwise it would be easy to get into trouble with the law.

The infra-structure is in place to regulate so the hardcore discipline or harsh actions are no longer required but let’s quietly remember the goodness of it if we look at the outrageous practices we hear of in China today.

If it is an allergy, this child is certainly unfortunate as billions have taken this jab over the past 40 years and this allergy is not known. If it was a known allergy, a statistics would have surface quickly to explain this off but it did not. My gutfeel is that it was an honest human error of overdosage. Then the standard procedure in their handling of medication must have failed somewhere, it's really sad. :sad:

Nowadays I always check the labels before purchase. My friends and colleagues has long avoided buying anything manufactured in China. A big store like Daiso, most of their goods are made in China. China is gaining more market share as compared to US. Maybe another 5yrs down the road, only 5% belonged to US.

:salute: there is a lot of ignorant and fake going on in many part of China, so some baby survive some dont,

ksi - like your analogy , China will have a super long way to go with
reform - 1 billion people - we need good people at the top to move this Giant to compassion.

# real case - Hainan island a childless couple after 10 years survive artificial insemination and bring a set of yuan yang twins till 7 months only to lost both baby pre maturely born because the doctor have no proper care for the child , they bottle fed the pre matured baby with bare hands. The baby gal died cos nobody knew that the mother should be in bed by month 7 - being small built - her pregnancy is a miracle so is a high risk case , the water bag burst and they drove one to two hours to the nearest hospital - you think the pre matured baby can survive - I was also angry
I ask many people here - if they have the care we have in SG :mad: :sad: and only if the couple know better , I attribute this big part to ignorant and part to the Medical readiness.
At least one should survive - by the way baby boy lasted 7 days before he pass away.
Imagine the couple's grieve and they are superb people.
(the hospitality they shown my family while we were there holidaying is unforgetable. The odds stack against them is too high :sad: )
