True… natural way wudn be sufferingly hot now if everyone protected nature’s way

from the beginning. Oh well… just like how we can’t force parents to un-kiasu
themselves… likewise for this. We can’t possibly turn all the pro-aircon blues
to the anti-aircon greens. That said tho… it has been terribly hot la. Some
rain out at my plc last 15 minutes helped a bit. DD went swimming with
gramps earlier, bet she’s cool there just now. I can’t follow cos buds_
chubs fell ill… his first flu.

Why don't like the air-con? 😢 I thought even MM also sez air-con is the greatest invention of modern history.

The fact is, to get a really eco-friendly system to enable passive cooling for schools, it is probably necessary to practically tear down and rebuild the schools from ground up to be designed as naturally heat resistent structures. Placing heat resistent films on windows, building air-wells, solar cells, etc, could end up costing more than just setting up air-cons for all schools.

Oh dear....take care of yourself too. I remembered when my bb and when her siblings were bbies, running nose and fever are really difficult. I will hold them sleeping in upright position so that they can breathe easier

My fans breaking down one by one due to continuous usage. Thinking of buying the bladeless type but was told it is powered by a "turbo charger" and not as powerful as conventional type. Any users here?

Yes I have a Dyson fan, bladeless and it is powered by my power plug...

I bought the desktop one, the standing one is more powerful of course

Wonder if there is any undergoing research on solar-powered air-conditioners...

Yes. Most difficult as they do not know how to blow nosies or cough out phlegm.
Plus they tend to be cranky and regurgitate unfamiliar taste of medz. Yeah boi..
I've been upright for slightly over a week.. back aching already. Sometimes even
the baby slides into semi sitting-lying down position and both my upper arms
became the pillows for him whole night through.. He can breathe better as long
as his head is elevated to prevent the post nasal drip from going to his throat
which only encourages the cough during sleep. Just yesterday, i showed my
family.. look.. mommy has biceps. 😉 Buds_hubs went  and said
                  waah, not bad leh.

Oh, there are indeed Solar powered air-conditioners - but not in Singapore.
