Thanks moonee. Yah u are right. She did well for science but maths dropped 17 marks. Let's hope it will be better in SA 2.

I guess some kids are mentally unprepared for the real stuff til they see a drop in their marks, this goes for the parents too and Im one of them. I saw less Band 1 unlike in P1 n 2.. I was speechless when my dds maths drop 20 marks so I signed her into some holiday classes and continued to do so till today. She regained back that 20 marks that she lost in SA2.
Science is the fourth subject added on so there will b some additional stress as the kids got to work on 4 subjects instead of 3... Not to worry, just continue working on yr girls weak areas and Im sure she will do well for SA2. πŸ˜„

                  Hi Moonee,

Nice to know your DD in P5 too. Stressful SA1 right? Do you know the average score for Science and Maths?

Hi Aslmum..... Is yr girl in P5 E or F ? Well, yes its more demanding in p5 than in p4. The SA2 papers for P4 surprisingly was very simple compared to SA1 then.

You should have gotten all the exam papers back by yesterday( Friday )for checking.
The level average for maths (including 5E/F ) is ...58/100
Ive only received section B for science so dont hv the level average for science. Whats yr girls general opinion of the SA1 exam, did she find maths and science difficult? I find answering techniques for section B in science most challenging. πŸ˜„

I was having the same thought as my girls H/c marks drop, Ive been trying to get her to read chinese story books but she refuses. I do send her for enrichment classes but feel she needs more exposure to higher level of teaching. Ive given her holiday classes at Jiang Education but she did not like the environment there. They are quite good actually, a good place for compo would be busy bees. πŸ˜„

Does any P3 parents know what is the level average score for the SA1 maths paper? My dd’s paper only indicated the class average, the level average score was not filled in…
