BUT sad to say.... I've never been to St John's Island in my entire life. :oops: -
Still remember my mum making me and my sis take that pilgrimage to kusu island before exams. She will go pray at some temple there and we will end up with a yellow band round our wrist. We see many of our schoolmates with that as well and we will go like, orh you also go kusu island ah, a lot of tortoise there hor.
Went sort of camping at St John’s island long time ago, in my teens I think. Still remember an incident. A friend was stung by something when he waded into the water. We all assume it was jellyfish, so some brilliant fella said he was told urine can neutralise the toxin, another one said must be virgin boy urine. Whatever it was, the fella who was stung was in enough pain that he asked a friend to pee on his leg. Nothing happened and all of us had a good time ragging the pee-er, cos conclusion was, he was no longer a virgin that’s why the urine did not work. -

Different times.......I think I had 4 choices????Can't remember liao but definitely more than 2. My mum just let me decide.
Yes, those were the days when we had only 2 choices for Secondary Schools and mind you, those schools were pre-selected (in July or August, I think), even before we sat for the PSLE! -
