I am wondering if there is a need to get a laptop computer for my JH1 daughter to use during boarding. Thinking of getting one during Great Singapore Sale if necessary.

      Any advice? Thanks!
My JH2 boy brou along his during the recent boarding. Due to an \"accident\", the laptop is completely damaged.

Our meeting with the disciplinary mistress had the mistress mentioned she discouraged the students to bring laptops to the boarding. The sch and boarding sch have computer rooms.

If really wants to bring, then made sure she locked it inside the cabinet when she is not in the room, even when going to the toilet.

        JH2 students class t-shirt

        **********************

Lousy workmanship coupled with my too powerful washing detergent resulted in the black pigment peeling and staining the white parts. But the house t-shirt (which was soaked at the same time and from the same supplier) did not hv any prob.

Called up the supplier- told me to reverse iron the print.

Also called up the mentor to request her to follow up on getting a replacement after the KL trip.

My boy’s other classmate also reported a similar prob with the class t-shirt.

Even at home with just 3 kids, my children have to take turns to use the computer for the homework at times.
I wonder if my daughter can get to use the computers in school and boarding sch.

This time my son brought my laptop with mobile broadband. Much better for him, due to the projects and assignments and many emails the teachers send them regarding readings & assignments. I even saw many email exchanges on one particular writeup he did, so I guess it's really much easier with a laptop. If not, then he should have a handphone with data plan? But well, so far we've not gone into handphone plans for this boy, so the laptop with mobile broadband is still easier - it came under our houseplan so doesn't cost more anyway.
