2x=280
x=140
L=3x=420cm

1. using models,
smaller number = u
bigger number =3u
3u-u = 60
2u = 60
u = 30
Bigger number = 3u = 3*30 =90

2. 2/3 u = 100
u = 100*300/2 = 300/2 = 150
2/5u = 60
u = 60*5/2 = 300/2 = 150
Hence the number is 150.
