the pork balls that are sold there contains dog, cat and other unidentified animals except pig. This was reported in the papers.

I remember one of my friends told me something similar. Her story was that some hawkers caught stray cats in alleys and made them into char siew bao to sell. It put me off eating char siew bao for a long while.

do you all notice about those papayas imported from Malaysia?

the outer skin is so yellowish and looks ripe but when you press it, it's as hard as those unripe ones :yikes:

Honestly speaking, the Chinese are not the only ones guilty of manipulating food quality. Watch the documentary Food, Inc.

yeah, I think so too bec when I wash the flesh inside, it felt slimy :yikes: same as those prawns from wet market, I felt that they were being coated with soap powder, so slippery :scared: An auntie told me they used some chemical on the prawns so they appear shiny and fresh, ditto for other seafood also

So if want to drink bubble tea, for the moment don’t ask for milk? Or maybe just stay away.

Is the ingredient added upon mixing the drink? If so, AVA need to conduct spot check on the shops here, or else there’s no way for them to know.
