Does anyone have kids in the LSH CC at woodlands dr 75? I noticed that there is also another center near my house but it is those under HDB type. Would appreciate any feedback if anyone has their kids there! Are the fees the same everywhere?

        Hi there,

Thanks for your reply. I really quite like the environment of the LSH at OCC. May I ask did your son took athe school bus? I'm thinking of enrolling my girl for N1 but am wondering if she's too young to take the school bus. Any idea how much the school bus costs? Forgot to enquiry abt that the last time I called them up. The LSH in OCC is not a childcare centre right? It is only those 3-4 hrs type of kindy?
My boy took the bus in N2 and K1. He really enjoyed it! we lived two minutes away by car but he would prefer to take the bus, even though it meant leaving home a bit earlier. Of course, the first few times he was scared, but once he found his friends on the bus, it was no looking back. The bus aunties take good care of them and always ensure they aree strapped into their seats. Some of the aunties can be quite fierce when the kids don't obey instructions. but these are usually the older kids.

Cost of the bus depends on where you stay. And the prices have probably changed since my boy's time. Call the school up. Phyllis should be able to help you.

OCC is a childcare centre that also offers kindergarten programs. So if you need full/half day childcare, they offer that. Or if you are like me, only need kindergarten programme, you can choose the kindy programme, which is 3 -4 hours. You can ask them about the difference between the two. But the good news is that because it is a childcare centre under MCYS, the childcare subsidy applies.

Enrolled my girl there and found that the school is not as good as its appearance.

Anyone at or been to LSH @ Fidelio?
Visited one and found the place nice, children happy (though my ah lau said all children are happy when they get to go school?!)

Already very tempted to sign up, but have not visited

                (1) Pats school @ Ulu Siglap - Hesitant coz of $$$
                (2) Kinderland @ Lakme

Any reviews or suggestions welcome & greatly appreciated!

                Cheers

                  Hihi,

my hubby just called and checked about OCBC - Little Skool House and found out that is already fully booked, so we are on waiting list.

Anybody put their bb over there for infant care. Care to share the experience?

So far not much info (when google) about teachers and environment over at OCBC.

                  TIA!!!

Hi, I visited LSH at Tampines Junction today and I was impressed by the huge playground and classrooms. They also have a lot of teachers with good educational qualifications. However, I was not too impressed with the Chinese teacher who brought us around. Hubby likes the place because of the price. I’m looking at nursery 1 class for next year enrollment. Does anyone have any comments on this school? Didn’t manage to find anything substantial when I scroll through this topic.

Also, there are a lot of children which may not be too good because it is easy for diseases to spread from one to another. They already had two HFMD cases early this year. Any comments on this?

They also could not tell ms the fees for the enrichment classes because it is a Saturday and the Principal is not around. Anyone has any ideas?

                    Thanks for reading!

                      Hi All,

My son of 3 years old is enrolled in Jurong West Motherwell childcare centre. My concern is that his english has not improved much and the environment do not appear to be clean most of time.

I am currently considering if I should make a switch for my son to Little Skool House in Jurong Safra instead. Please provide your comments.

                      Thank you in advance!!

                      Zeus

Hi, for those who have children in the school, do you find that the teachers adequately prepare them for primary 1? I heard it is a play-based education… they don’t do worksheets or anything? will they get used to it when they arrive in pri 1??
