      Hi! Good evening,

I need help on the following questions:

      1. Boxes A and B each contained some books. After 1/10 of the books in Box B was taken out and put into Box A, the ratio of the number of books in Box A to the number of books in Box B was 4:3. What was the ratio of the numbers of books in Box A to the number of books in Box B at first?

      2. At a dinner of the Plus Club, each member brought either 1 guest or 2 guests. If the ratio of the number of members to the number of guests is 3:5, what fraction of the members brought 2 guests?

      3. A box contained 50 cents coins and 20 cents coins in the ratio 2:3. When I took out four 50 cents coins, exchanged them for 20 cents coins, and then put the money back into the box, the ratio became 2:7. Find the sum of money in the box.
(My answer is $9.60, please advise if it is correct?)

      Thanks in advance.

No, no... I can do advanced math... Laplace's transforms, differentiation and integration.... but when it comes to doing Primary school math and trying to use the model diagrams, my brain freezes like everyone else. I'm still trying to get used to these models and units and parts thingy.

Received a flyer from a tuition centre offering intensive PSLE math training and this is one of the questions they printed on the flyer which i find it unsolvable.

Container A contains 250 RED marbles and 200 BLUE marbles.
Container B contains 600 RED marbles and 150 BLUE marbles.

How many RED and BLUE marbles must be removed from Container A to Container B such that 25% of the marbles in Container A are RED and 75% of the marbles in Container B are RED?
