Hi MMM, my girl attended the power learning camp in Dec 09 too and also enjoyed it. Its the 5 day camp.. she wrote me a letter of appreciation thanking me for all the trouble I took driving her for classes and feeding her etc.. Its not like her to write me such a letter so I guess the camp did her good. Why dnt u wait till the mid yr holiday for the 5 day camp instead. Theres a discount on the fees if u continue with the c.w course.

Actually, I was thinking the opposite. I have signed her up for the creative writing camp this march. If she likes the program, I will let her go for the power learning camp in June. Not sure if it has the same objective as those motivational camp but it appears to be cheaper. My sil paid $2500 for Adam camp + 10 weeks session. It's all about motivation too.

Seems like this June will be an expensive and busy month as they will definitely be going for science discovery camp. Which is a must for them.

I personally is very sceptical about the effectiveness of motivation talks or camp. In my work, my company have yearly team building training camp which they also invited motivation speaker to drive us. The effect lasted 3 days at most after which life goes back to normal LOL.

              Hello!

My son is in K2 this year and I thought of sending him to Tony Buzan Learning Centre for the Pre-Primary Preparatory class. Any comments on this school? Is it good? Worth trying or not??

                hi all,

Just wondering is Tony Buzan the only enrichment centre offering mind mapping class?

Would like to start introducing mind-mapping to my girl. Heard that mind-mapping is a good study technique to be picked up.

                Thanks.

                Rgds,
                Ming

We had sent our son to Power Learning Camp when he was in P3. We paid $500 for a 5 day program. It focused on mind mapping and memory training. What was being taught will be useful if the child likes to draw and uses it. My boy does not like to draw and did not use it.

                      Hi sweetie galaxy,

I do agree with you is very tiring to send them to different places for tuition. Just like one of my friend who went all around Singapore for tuition for different subjects just because she heard the teachers r good! I myself also have no tme to ferry them around. For Tb, honestly I am not too sure about their English program. I only heard about their Science program. And their camp is not cheap. You can try out their holiday camp program first b4 u decide if you will like to pursue on. I am also thinking to try out their Science camp b4 any decision made. So far, Have you visited their centre?
