Actually I don't think she'll need to be there, but I will bring her. Don't want to be responsible for writing wrongly...as you said, it's a big amount.

I think there is one day of the week Singpost is open late...is it today? not sure if I'm wrong.

I managed to effect the transfer via WU for my maid... and yes... split the transfer into 2 so that its cheaper! The Singpost lady was helpful cos' she also advise me to split. The cost to my maid was $70 versus a $200 cost!! Phew!!

She has left earlier this morn... my hub called n said she cried as she was leaving the house... says she misses our boy blah blah... Oh well!! She was the one who wants to leave... :faint:

Now, is to receive the new maid and hopefully the training process will be a BREEZE!! :xedfingers:

I'm getting my new maid today. I would say for my process, it was faster than I had expected!

1. We received her bio on 29 Apr
2. Telephone interview on 30 Apr
3. We confirmed her on 3 May – agent says she don’t have passport
4. She got her passport 5 May – which shocked me, but didn’t care cos’ I was thinking maybe the indo agent went through “backdoor”
5. She was originally scheduled to arrive SG on 25 May, but my agent managed to bring that forward to 19 May.
6. She passed her MOM test on 20 May.
7. She will be sent to my place today 27 May - she could be sent earlier, but we held back as we want to send my current maid off and have the new one come in after that.

So... if ur maid already has passport, then shdnt take 2 weeks?? most probably she doesnt have passport since they havent submitted the details.. cos i recall my first indo maid had to wait ard 2 weeks or so for passport?? BUT its just a guess... u may wanna chase ur agent again??

Hi SMH Forest, have been chasing agent for past 2 wks..But she juz kept saying that Myanmar agent haven reply her..haiz..dun know wat they doing.. And already paid agency fee and stuff..so now only choice is to wait and wait...Do I have other choices?

Oh... sorry, urs is Myanmar maid ah... I have never gotten Myanmar maid, so dunno how long the lead time might be.. Different country, different processing time too... I guess u really have no choice (since already paid), unless u ask your agent to advise and confirm the length of wait again? If you are even considering of cancelling this maid, will this agent pay you back all the agent fees, since nothing has been done?

The agent actually told me 1 week but now already drag to 2 weeks…Think no choice gotta wait…coz if i cancel…dun think they will pay me back all the fees la…they will surely cook up reasons this and that…haiz…

Oh, I just called the agent again…She said she juz tok to Myanmar side…say the maid’s passport previously is processing and now ready for collection…say they will collect in june. Ask me to give them few more days…else will have to choose another maid… FAINTZ…
