I have signed a maid with this agency..it has been 2 wks and the agency still say the other side yet to submit the passport. Is this normal?

If maid doesnt have the passport it could take 3 weeks as well

Oh... sorry, urs is Myanmar maid ah... I have never gotten Myanmar maid, so dunno how long the lead time might be.. Different country, different processing time too... I guess u really have no choice (since already paid), unless u ask your agent to advise and confirm the length of wait again? If you are even considering of cancelling this maid, will this agent pay you back all the agent fees, since nothing has been done?

The agent actually told me 1 week but now already drag to 2 weeks…Think no choice gotta wait…coz if i cancel…dun think they will pay me back all the fees la…they will surely cook up reasons this and that…haiz…

I am now paying my maid experienced but not so hard working $600 per month and no holiday but subject to her need, I let her go home for 2-3 weeks in recent three years but not the first 2 years she’s with us.

She’s educated and can teach my son (5 years old) to finish some English and Maths but of course not Chinese and English phonics.

Her assent sounds to me very "Philippine".
