        Hello Brenda,

Yes, hope every child here ends with a rainbow at the end of psle.

        Mummies,
Did you meet up with the teachers in school after sa1?Is the session helpful?

DS only needs to go back for supp class just three days.As per ds, school says doesnt want to stress them up.

        cheers
        Leanne

wow Brenda, no long vacation for you dd - but I guess it is a good sprint from now and peak at PSLE. The analogy of sports events - actually very true huh ?

Leanne - great to hear of awakening sleeping tigers, I hope ds will be one of those ! I think having a stronger foundation P1-P4 will still help…it is those focus, carelessness and finer points that really need the maturity and motivation to kick in .

All the best to 2011 P6 and their moms !
            Fighting !

Not really comparing kids. But using their grades all throughout primary school and esp in p5/p6 to gauge what how their eventual PSLE score will turn out. I have 2 previous examples, mah.... I think the gauge based on their relative grades in p5/p6 can be quite indicative. It is \"solid\" evidence to my no.3 as to how much more work he has to put in, that's all.
it's ok to compare. We need to compare to see where we are, else there is no guage on our abilities. Grades cannot exists in a vacuum. Only when they are compared, then grades becomes meaningful.
The yardstick for comparision is very important. Do we use our past results as a yardstick ? do we use the class standard as a yardstick ? do we use the level standard as a yardstick ?
What is important too, is that concepts and heuristics that has been covered, should be answered correctly in the exam. If there are questions that has never been encountered before, then it is fine to get it wrong. It serves to highlight the gaps in the child's knowledge and it can be easily addressed before the next exam.

                    Thanks, Pixiedust and Leanne.

These few weeks have been busy with taking a break and having some fun after SA1, visiting school open house and DS school has again started loading work once SA1 is over.

For Jun hols, DS is also required to do part of the past year PSLE workbooks (not as 'xiong' as Brenda's DD). We will also be doing some revision to catch up on some weak areas. Just 🙏 that he will \"see light\" for his languages before PSLE and score a desirable grade for these so as not to affect his total T-score. In PSLE, every subject counts!

                      Hi there,

Ds only needs to do partial psle booklets(not as siong as brenda's dd school),and only be back to school for few days.

We also have been visiting open house and watch kungfu panda last fri.It was an awesome show.

We hope to strike a balance between studies and play during the holidays, or will get really stress up.

                      cheers
