nv know void deck can be rented out (at least nv been rented to cst & ltk previously)
so will there be 4 walls build up for the mps session or the mp need to build up the office themselves?

:yikes: OMG! Fully furnished too? Is there a boardroom setup with beautiful meeting table and armrest chairs? drinks dispenser? side table for tea-breaks? mobile aircon?

Weddings and funerals also have to pay rent for void decks?

Potong Pasir Town Council staff to be offered jobs by EM Services


SINGAPORE: The Potong Pasir Town Council has engaged EM Services to be its managing agent.

Town council Chairman and MP for the area, Sitoh Yih Pin, said there are currently 16 staff in the town council under its previous Chairman, Mr Chiam See Tong. - During Chiam's time, did he engage any service managing agent? Who are these 16 staffs under the employment of during Chiam's time? Anybody knows the answer?

Agree. Reminds me of the birth issue Obama had to wrestle with..I think there are still doubters out there even if that person was in the delivery ward.

Anyways, regarding the foot in the mouth thing that was going round, some people is speak already get into spotlight (aka the good pay MP), others get into spotlight just by being there (aka TPL). Whether I like TPL is my business, but she seems to be a negative spotlight magnet...quite poor thing actually. Breathe only she'll get into trouble.

MP Tin Pei Ling resigns from Ernst & Young
MEMBER of Parliament Tin Pei Ling has resigned from her business consultant job in Ernst & Young, she announced on her Facebook wall on Wednesday.

In her posting, she revealed that she wanted to focus on her responsibilities as MP in her MacPherson ward and the Marine Parade GRC.

Below is the full posting by Ms Tin:

'Yesterday (31 May 2011) marked my last day with Ernst & Young. After long and careful deliberation, I decided to resign from the firm to focus on my responsibilities in MacPherson and Marine Parade GRC. Working as a business consultant has been enriching and meaningful, and I deeply appreciate the confidence and opportunities that the firm has given me over the years.

I have now been on the ground in MacPherson for over two months. MacPherson has a large number of elderly and poorer households. I feel strongly for them. They require and deserve more help and attention, and there is still much that can be done for them. I have decided to spend more time on the ground, to better serve the needs of residents, and to implement my plans for MacPherson.

I will consider my longer-term career plans in the future, but fulfilling my duties to the residents of MacPherson will remain my first and utmost priority.'

If I were TPL, I would quit too. $4k is definitely not worth the time, effort, energy and stress to slog from 9 am to 5 pm and not forgetting the extra long hours she has to put in during busy period. I would focus on the $15k job and do it well.
