My son told me 'holidays officially starts today'...actually his holiday started right after his SA1.

My daughter doesn't have any homework...her principal believes work should be done in school or they will become parents' masterpiece if brought home. She only has 好朋友 and the occasional hanyu pinyin writing.
However every week or 2, she will bring home worksheets taught/done in class. It's from those worksheets that I saw stuff like Heuristics (Maths) and Synthesis (grammar) taught in class :frustrated: whoa ! My son only learnt Heuristics in P3.

Actually my PSLE score for CL was 'A', don't pray pray. I know a lot of parents here will not believe it (especially those with nicks starting with 'p'). Come to think of it, I myself also can't believe it, cos I've never read a chinese book outside of sch text in my life, until I've to coach ds that is. :oops:

This means that part of janet's objective of sending her dd to the other sch is not being met.[/quote]What I do know is that daughter's mission school has always emphasized on GOOD ENGLISH (my classmates all hated Chinese and would do anything to get out)...has been so since I was there many moons ago. But now, the strive to excel seems to have mushroomed. It's hard to believe :scratchhead: Pei Hwa giving P1s an easy time. A friend of mine has a son in P1 PH and she told me he is having a good time...I was like 'Huh ? Pei Hwa leh'
