Stiff competition indeed. Is the ranking based on every 10th percentile or 25th percentile?
top 5%, 10%, 25%, 50%, 75%
dunno whether the same cat. for overall performance....think shd be the same. -

Hi fellow Kiasu forumites,
Went to DHS openhouse with my daughter last Saturday and came home happy. She will apply through DSA via MEP (violin). Not sure how good her chance is coz the overall P5 & P6 SA1 results have to be 80% (hers is >70% but <80%).
Would like to listen to parents who have kids who have been through this path.
Thanks in advance. -

Hi Augmum, my girl takes triple sciences, geog, chinese,LA, Math1 and Math2 altogether 8 subjects...........in fact she wanted to get double sciences(though she got 3.2 gpa last year) but was given triple sciences, for your information, those students who want to take triple sciences but can't get in can appeal, the success rate quite high :rahrah: :rahrah: :rahrah:

So your dd wanted double science but the school gave her triple science? Could she have insisted on double science? This combo is suiting her well though based on her results.

When the school gave triple science to her, I advised her to take it but looks like quite a good choice for her, actually whatever choice given, one needs to work hard for it, if given the best but don't know how to make use of it also no use...........  :oops:Bedokid:
