Tks 4 the reply. SO confirmed SMO is for Secondary . I was confused why some primary school claimed that they won the SMO??? :?

Aiya. thimk just prepare for the NMO only.
APMOPS is held in the Apr/May timeframe while the NMOS was held in July for 2010.
BTW, NMOS is for Primary 5 and below ONLY

SMO (Junior) is typically taken by Sec 1 & 2 students. However, as students are getting more and more MO-savvy and their first foray into MO is getting earlier and earlier (e.g. P4), it is not uncommon for P6 students to take SMO (Junior). This year, three P6 students made it into the top 30 individual positions (specifically 21st, 22nd, 24th) in SMO (Junior). -

she added that what was taught in the training was not much in use and
some mathematical terms in the question were unheard of........ :shock:
