        I think some of us are staying at Toh Yi Drive. Congrats, you people are sitting on a goldmine cos the latest HDB EM transaction just hit three qtr million (low flr some more). When the MRT is up, I guess it'll be even more valuable.

              My DH posted the same qn on the possibility of en-bloc. Told him if really en-bloc, donโ€™t think HDB can offer us another better place unless they acquire and tear down some of the private places.

                Add the arbitrary $50K for renovation and we're looking at $800K for that unit. :yikes: One of a half years ago when I was looking around at Toh Yi, the asking price then was already $650-700K. So we're looking at an increase of $100K within 2 yrs.
                I bought my 4 room at Toh Yi for $348K in 1998. It was love at first sight for US, after viewing several units at Clementi. Paid $23K for COV (hubby very heartache then).
                Seriously doubt Toh Yi will face en-bloc..bcos there is a temple right in the middle. Lift upgrading going on...waited so long for the lift. If not bcos of expensive 5 room then, we would have bought that. 5 room flat in Toh Yi has 4 bedrooms.

                  4-rm now above $500k. Very seldom that 2nd owners can make money after factoring interest paid. We are the lucky ones.

                      Although our Toh Yi flats are worth a great deal, with lift upgrading and Beautyworld MRT coming up, I will not sell my place bcos I won't be able to get such good amenities in another estate.
                      The lift is just 5 steps away from my gate...almost considered my personal lift ๐Ÿ˜‰
                      I am the 3rd owner.
