No, not too late. My dd started ballet at 7yo (in P1) last year as well. She went for the trial and was allowed join a Grade 1 class. 😃

hi, how do you find the ballet teacher so far? where is the lesson conducted please... as I am looking around for one for my dd. thanks for sharing!

She goes to Crestar at Marine Parade. The teacher was recommended by a friend. I don't know much about ballet so cant judge but dd enjoys her lessons so far. I don't really have plans for dd to be a ballerina (her main focus at the moment is in sports) so we skipped this year's Grade 1 exam cos she doesn't have time to commit to the extra practises.

Her ballet teacher has said that she's keeping up fine with the class though so she can move on to the Grade 2 class and we can consider sending her for the Grade 2 exam next year if she's ready.

They have doing promotion now, free goodly bag and rebate for the fee if you bring friends along.

I think I may try to bring my girl down for more information.

                  Hi 3 kiddos,

Where did your dd learn ballet from?

Yap agreed with other mom/dad here. It is never too late to learn. My girl started ballet in the june during her P1. Now P4, she is taking grade 4 next year. 😉

Love this thread. 🙂 was concerned that my 6 years old will start off too old for ballet. Recently she voiced out that she wanted to learn ballet instead of violin. Any nice teachers in the east to recommend?

Lol if people keep saying 6 is too old, I only started ballet at 13 in secondary school. Primary school just doing normal dance in cca.
