      http://i56.tinypic.com/rw8ec5.jpg\">

      http://i52.tinypic.com/otg6dx.jpg\">
      shift the lines out (as above):-
      length of thick line = 6+4+6=16cm

      this type of working acceptable? 😓

      Thats a very smart way of getting the answer. Shifting the lines!

        My DS at JEI PSLE Math. In the centre they use the torchlight method. E.g. You shine the torch light at one side, the sides shone is same as the opposite side.

          Hi everyone!

          My p3 son always does careless mistakes.I sick of it.In primary one,first question "more" then following question "less" then add for this also.In primary2 first half,he + for subraction and - for sum,and calculationwrong copying numbers from part a to part b.Then I give more prctise and let him knows why he got wrong those questions.Then second have he didn’t get any careless mistakes.Then now primary CA1 exam,copying the numbers from the questions he got wrong,other than that all calculations and models he got correct.SA2, for 1600 he chose 16 thousand instead of 16 hundred,…multiplication error 22 for 32, copying the number from a question 3 for 8.copying the numbers from question is not related just any number he put.Why like this?Is anyone face these problems?Please give me some suggestion to improve him!:( Thanks in advance!

              I think so,he is very playful.He always think that he doesn't have time to finish.Actually he can finish,but at home he never do a paper from begin to end.He finished by three days.He has lack of practise.Now I start to give a paper and ask him to finish.very lazy to study.

              thanks for your reply.

                It seems that your son is prone to copy the wrong numbers from the question. Maybe you can suggest to your son that the first thing he should do in the test is to check that he has copied the numbers correctly before proceeding to solve the sums. Maybe he can highlight or underline the numbers in the questions. Of course he should not rush through each question. Good time management is very important. To do well in Maths, you must have both the speed and accuracy.

                  Hi,

                  Please help me with the below questions. I do not know how to draw the model. :?

                  The length of the rectangular table is 3times its width. If the length was 2m shorter and width, 80cm wider, a square table will be formed.
                  What are the dimensions of the rectangular table?

                  Thanks all parents for the help in advance

                    Length = XXXXX XXXXX XXXXX
                    Width = XXXXX

                    Difference = 2M (200cm) + 80 cm
                    Therefore 1 unit = 140 cm

                    Dimension of the table is 420 cm x 140 cm

                      After he did one type of careless mistake then I tell him what you have to do.then next time he will do another kind of mistake.I have to remeber/know all possible careless mistakes and remind him before the every exam.I need a journal book for him and i need to keep that.otherwise i gorget.

                      Thanks for your reply!
