Oh dear! I hope you have meds/creams that actually work. I myself try my best to avoid hives from occurring as I do not want to rely on meds/creams too much, especially if they contain steroids.

Yeap,Moisturise moisturise and moisturise... I avoid staying under the sun/sauna for too long,if temp is too high...my body will start the hives action again.. so its very disturbing in my life.. and the itchiness of my eczema problem on my arms..haiz... Its a SAD thing for us(sufferers) that it has NO cure.

i understand that some people link feng mo to allergies, but i have very frequent feng mo (i think that's it ba). it can come and go in 5-10min and can be at any part of me except my face. it usually appears when the weather is cold/or i'm cold in air con room. is that strange?

No, not strange. I will get it when my skin is dirty or I've been dusting/cleaning. If I take a shower, the hives disappear. For serious cases, doctor visits, creams/injections may be necessary, like in the case of my ex-colleagues.

Is not strange,dun worry. Its very common for us.It can happen anytime ,anywhere. If you can,(gt time) try to note down things that you eat/ been to/touched whenever you kena feng mo. Then ,aft a month or two,try to find out what is the common thing that you do juz b4 your feng mo happen.so next time you know what to avoid to prevent it from occuring.
As for cream,I dun have,you can check with schellen.What i usually do is wet a towel ,wipe the affected area,so aft it cool down,it will slowly disappear..if not,i will take pills (anti itch)

I only used cream for DD when the specialist prescribed it. Now, she doesn't break out in hives anymore but I do. I use anti-itch gel from Hansaplast or wash area and pat dry, then distract myself with something while the hives disappear. Dry skin will worsen the condition so I moisturise a lot but not when the hives are there.

My husband also has hives and I have eczema. My 15 month girl also has eczema when she was 1 year old. We have brought her to see doctor until now, she is ok. I always apply cream on her body as when she sweats, the eczema will come back.

When my husband sweats, his hive will come back. When you look at them, really very scaring, even his nephew and niece will stay away from him. Wonder when my girl grows up, will she afraid of her dad?
Usually his hive will appear in the night time and after he sleeps, the next morning will disappear. His skin is dry but he refuses to apply cream on his body. :x

I grew up w eczema since I was a kid to adulthood. my girl also has sensitive skin like me. there is no way to ‘siam’ except to keep skin moisturised. cannot use commercial shower cream eg. shokobutsu. must use QV or other moisturising shower cream and lotion. always very itchy and sometimes scratch until weepy…

My son also has eczema, triggered by humidity & sweat. We use Cetaphil & moisturise with QV cream after every shower. It’s under control.


He was also seen by national skin centre.

Was told that ‘cream’ is better than ‘lotion’ as it’s more moisutrising. Hope this helps

My son and i suffer from bad eczema. We were prescribed a very strong steroid cream but after a few weeks, it stopped being effective!

A fren from Australia brought over a Active Manuka Cream. It WORKED over night. I believe that its manufactured from organic Manuka Honey with 20+ active. It also worked for normal rashes and helped with the healing for my son’s cuts n abrasions.
