        HI plum-cake,

How did you find using these books? :yikes: If I have got hold of the book before SA1, then probably might about to help DD1 to score better marks for paper 2 😢
        Hi champion,
Sorry for the delay. Truthly speaking I bought these books sometime ago... but didn use these with my daughter  . only did reading tests with her. but to my knowledge I think, p2s can do grade 3 book. similar to conquer comprehension but small paragraphs. Reading tests book consists 5 comprehension Qs per test. all of them are in MCQ type. and a page of vocab Qs. there are 15 tests in a book. you can try September 21 @ Toapayoh. They have a quite a good picks of scholastic books.

I didn buy any thing but doing all my collections with my daughter. she is actually complaining that going to school is better than staying at home.

I am using the conquer and longman books for editing. I cover most of the editing part when I teach her the \"writing\".

          Thanks again.

            Hi Plum-cake,
:hugs: Thanks for taking the time to reply - I know, me also hate to use laptop to type and prefer to go on the \"old way\" desktop type :imcool:

Oh I see that you are a very \"hands-on\" mother with your child :celebrate: . I believe you have a \"great collection\" of English assessment & guide books :salute: :salute: .

I found a webpage for this September 21 @ Toapayoh; is this the one you referring to? :thankyou:

A close friend recommended me Longman Grammar. However, I won't be getting anymore for P1/5.
One title which I like is 'Expand Vocabulary' by C Emmanuel (EPH). The glossary of words & synonyms are useful and I kept the assessment even after it is completed (usually I dump when they are completed). I found it in the '3 for $10' open shelf section last year.

I didn go to popular/Marshall Cavendish(times) sale this time, cos got really \"more than enough\" books for my P2 girl. so we are just doing them at home. weather is also not co-operating... to go for outdoor activities..very hot...

I am thinking of buying Longman grammar, science, math together as a pack (25% off) at popular for P3.....so I might take a look at this book 'Expand Vocabulary' by C Emmanuel (EPH). tomorrow I am going to that PC show.... to buy a desktop....then you can see me very often....
                  :snuggles: thank you!

you have to be careful of the stuff you get in the PC Show. The merchants know that people thinks PC Show is a bargain and buy buy buy. I've heard reports that they jack up the price during the show. So it's actually more expensive to buy at the show. Best to take a trip to Sim Lim Square to check out the prices first.

                      Hi plum-cake,

I think most of us here have sufficient assessment for the rest of the year 😉

As for PC shows, do be careful and watch out for prices.
These shows are actually the lot of 'Sim Lim' vendors grouped together.
Hope to see you more often here. Enjoy the holidays. :boogie:

                        Hi plum-cake,

Have you bought your PC yet ? I sure hope to 'see' you here more often. We are partners where assessment books are concerned
Hubby went to PC show yesterday and he couldn't take the crowd.
