[Bukit Panjang] Primary Schools

Why is BPPS sooooooo popular among ksparents here?
I saw on a website, greenridge is in tier 2 whereas BPPS is in tier 3. I’m new to this, hope someone can be patient enough to enlighten me. Thanks. -
Actually Beacon PS is now more popular than BPPS already… Those staying there rather put their child in Beacon than BPPS. And do PV at Beacon than BPPS also. Because Beacon PS is the future school that use IT.

Ooo.... why does the poll still show BPPS leading at 51% ?? Misleading me man.
I stay in front of Beacon but was from BPPS and someone related to me is a HOD in Greenridge primary. I'm torn where to put my child.
Where do I go to read more about these schools? What should I look out for in a primary school?
Thanks thanks.

unless your husband is HOD of Greenridge, else you will have to join the rest under Phase 2C (but you may have priority if you wanna go interview for Phase 2B PV job laOoo.... why does the poll still show BPPS leading at 51% ?? Misleading me man.

Thanks Jedamum… but i may have to read up more about this Phase Phase thing to understand better. But correct me if im wrong, based on what you are saying…alumni and ppl staying in front of the school (within 1km) has the same priority level?

Alumni is almost 99percent can get in• those with no relation to sch ie not alumni or not pv or not teach at sch or not clans or church priorty, all under phase 2c (exc foreigners). Distance to sch gives u priority only when there is balloting cos priority to ballot first go to those staying within 1 km to sch follow by 1to2 km follow by >2km. -
aah...
thanks for explaining it as plain as possible.
anyone knows whether BPPS has open house? I read earlier in this thread (the post is abt 2 years ago) that BPPS doesn't have open houses. :scratchhead:
My story is... Our initial plan was to move out of bp next year (to the east due to hubby's work and im very keen on GongShang pri... another headache coming i foresee) ... but first we'd like to make sure we wont regret it especially if there are good/great schools around bp. Thought can take advantage of the fact that someone closely related to me works at GRPS...but as jedamum has pointed out there's no way THAT'S happening.
I have 2 girls... DD1 is in nursery. Logically speaking, since i'm an ex student of BPPS, we should enrol our child in the school since it is the most popular according to KSP forum. However I have been searching for BPPS website but only found the moe one. And its achievements category looked pretty....bland. :gloomy:
when are the schools' open houses this year? have I already missed it? Am thinking of going to see the schools myself. But of cos advice from experience mommies like yourselves are big bonuses.
Would being a PV AND staying <1km up your chances of getting a place?
Am i too kiasu for wanting to find out more this early? :scared: -
Since u r ex BPPS student then u can enrol your DD1 in P2A2 that is almost 99% can get a place. Think twicely 1st
-
Tika,
Since you are ex-student of BPPS, you should support it by putting your children in the school. BPPS is quite a good performer looking on paper value.
Others still have to do PV or try their luck in BPPS. Better think wisely. -
Hellooo mommies
indeed husband and i have to think it through thoroughly and wisely. the good thing is we have a whole year to think about it before coming to a decision. :dancing:
i have been googling and i stumbled upon this website. it may interest some of you, who like me, are already thinking about pri schools for your 3 year olds.
