Newborn found buried alive at Eunos... ??!!!

Ya I found this very strange too.. unless they reported wrongly?
peapot:
In the first place how did she get her S-pass? I thought maids come in as work permit holders. How did MOM approve her S-pass?
-
pinky:
wonder why the human rights group kept mum about this case? werent they always fighting for the maids' rights and welfare?
The maid ran away from her employer...obviously she is in the wrong already. Then she became a prostitute to earn money and got pregnant.
Human rights shouldn't step in bcos the maid is wrong. -
did the employer ill treat her, so she run away ? or bec she not used to working in SG, so run away ?

If she isn't happy, she can always run to embassy or agent...If ill-treated, she can go to the police. why did she turn to prostitution ?

totally agree with you, Janet.
if she did not go into that old trade, she would not have got pregnant accidentally, then won’t be involved with ‘attempted murder of innocent baby’. Also, she won’t get herself into all these unnecessary misery of giving birth secretly, quietly alone, at the roof top.
I can imagine her loneliness, her traumatic, excruiating child birth pain that comes in wave-like form of attack, every few minutes. No doctor, no midwife, no nurse around to help her deliver baby, no boiling water to sterilize needles. Just she alone up in that roof top. She must have hated the baby so much (in spite of carrying him for 9 months inside her tummy) that she decided to …
seems like nowadays, the roof top is an interesting place to explore -
- got maid deliver babies up there,
- got foreign workers & lovers enjoying romance, doing shady business up there, ‘swimming’ up there. -

she overstayed for 273 days without passport so would surely avoid police and with no place to stay and no money, she ended up selling herself.phtthp:

hope that all maids in SG learn a precious, valuable lesson from this maid.
the grave mistake she made was … she became a prostitute.
after that, foolishly got herself pregnant without eating any pill precaution… then her life began to spiral downwards, to the point of no return. Perhaps she ever thought of abortion before, but no $ to abort, how to abort ?
she paid a high price for her folly… giving birth alone, at the roof top. Natural child birth pain is one of the worst pain for women in life. She was lucky to escape gallow. Thank God her baby din die. If mati, her sentence won’t be like that ? -

hard to say, she got away with light sentence because of depression -
No pill is one thing, mebbe no $ to be on them in the first place…
But think how many men ( foreign or local) have had unprotected
sex with her! How could she allow that? How could she allow
herself to be that promiscuous? Is she out to spread the
disease? When they said old trade, means she used
to be a prostitute before working as a maid? -
If she gets HIV from all her unprotected sexcapades,
she will then continue to suffer the pain that disease
will bring her. Her depression would then be a
permanent one.
