      phtthp:
hope that all maids in SG learn a precious, valuable lesson from this maid.

the grave mistake she made was ... she became a prostitute.
after that, foolishly got herself pregnant without eating any pill precaution... then her life began to spiral downwards, to the point of no return. Perhaps she ever thought of abortion before, but no $ to abort, how to abort ?
When maids run away, a lot of times they turn to embassy or agent. But nobody knows what was going on in this maid's brain...doubt she herself knows. But she developed depression when she got pregnant after being a prostitute. Ultimately, she did go to the embassy heavily pregnant but was turned away.
You will be surprised to know how many maids sleep around even without off-days.

It's scary indeed...the things these maids do.
I've heard of this case (mum's friend)...employer stays in penthouse, every night after family has gone to bed upstairs, the maid climbs out of the window :yikes: and seeks the company of the old man staying downstairs. Maid got sent home for being stubborn and was replaced. The old man started asking around where his young sleeping partner went to...mum's friend got to know about it only then.

If the maid who became prostitute gave birth to an unwanted child, she could have contracted STD and AIDS (not wearing any protection).

she must be wearing baggy clothes that day to hide her big tummy that day she went to the embassy.

so the employer was actually not at fault for not knowing about her pregnancy. She did tried to ask her embassy for help but they turned her away because she did not have a passport.

the embassy know she did not have a passport and yet nv arrest her... still let her run around like that :skeptical:

maybe they know Singapore is a generous, forgiving and caring society to start with and i wonder why some locals are so naive in helping people that dun deserve help in the first place :?

in another words Sg ppl are stupid...

why heart soften towards them but to the local is a big no-no?
exactly :slapshead: :stupid:   :nunchuk: :spank:
my husband told me( when he was on business trip in china) that his PRC counterpart said Singaporeans are the easiest to cheat because very naive and too generous with no sense of self-protection. He said this is a general consensus among the PRC staff in the company also.
