all along, I though it should at least over 60% RGP's student can go directly to RGS...It seems I'm wrong.
Absolutely no affliation...but I would think most in the top few classes will make it to RGS anyway.
But as know, Nanyang Primary school's student can go their affiliation secondary school with much lower PLSE result compare to other primary school's student. -

Just registered at NYPS this morn. Avail 55 places (one withdrawl fm prior phase
, already 34 reg for within 1 km (we r one of them). Not kiasu, but I have to fly tomoro. There are also a few reg for 1-2 km & >2km. Can check at end of each day for results. -
Just thought I would post the last 2 yrs statistics for MGS Phase 2B here for anyone who is considering MGS :
Phase 2B P1 in 2008 P1 in 2007
(33 vacancies) (48 vacancies)
Within 1km 26 applicants 24 applicants
Between 1-2km 17 applicants 10 applicants
Outside 2km 8 applicants 42 applicants
This year under Phase 2B - there were 38 vacancies , 22 within 1k, 6 within 1-2k and 20 plus outside 2k - so the balloting was for outside 2km
For Phase 2C last year, I believe there was balloting within 1 km - 40 applicants for 33 places - was the 1st time MGS had to ballot within 1km! -

Does it means Raffles secondary school is not affiliation with Raffles primary school?ctct61t:

Good school although it has no affiliation with any secondary school. -

sorry I cannot see the link between having places after each phase with affialiation thing. -

Some parents prefer schools to be affiliated...so that the downside risks of getting into a not so good secondary school after PSLE is somewhat hedged.scoobydoo
