Mosquito / Insects Bites

i did few things when got mozz attacks:
- call up town council and NEA and hound them, so that they will do work and check. usually will find (and then destroy) breeding source, but will take a few days for the adults to die.
- day time just before go work, spray the house after closing windows, and hope that any mozz hiding in the house will not survive.
- meantime use those electric repellant when sleep. but one room needs one…
- when awake, ask everyone to be alert. if see mozz, alert me and i’ll try to whack it… -
Dear parents,
Im a newbie here.
Hopefully i can learnt something from all the parents here.
My daughter is very prompt to mosquitoes’ bites. & results in scars as she always tend to scratch them. Seriously looking for solution.
IS there any cream or stuff which can lightened the scars and hopefully cleared scars of. Preferred organic ones…
Thanks… -
Did you try the pure Aloe Vera gel? Works on my DD. Ease the itch upon application.

there is a perscription required cream called combiderm, that is quite effective. But it contains steriods thus not advisable for prolonged use.
-
and you may want to consider using anti-mosquitoes patch on her clothings and her bed to help prevent new bites.

Bao Fu Ling is pretty effective (cream form). Heard not available in chinese medical halls though I haven’t try asking ard. Got mine when visited Shanghai and SIL shared it is pretty good esp for mosqitoe bites.

My gal hates mosquito patches due to the strong smell…

I am selling Magnetic Insect Screen DIY Kit that can prevent mosquito & other insects by installing a mesh on the window. It's not expensive but you'll have to Do-It-Yourself.The best way is to put mosquito net on the windows. It not only prevent mozzie but also pest frm entering.
Method 1 : buy fr DIY store n use tape to tape ard the window ( used to just leave a panel of window open about 45degree n leave it open permanently)
Method 2 : engage professional to install mosquito net roller ... V easy to use when opening n closing window but costly.
So far my home is quite mozzie proof with the mosquito net on the windows

For those who are thinking of engaging professional help to install insect screen , I would like to share my encounter so that u will know wat to expect after spending $.
I fixed my windows with roller insect screen 3 yrs ago with Peaxxxxx insect screen co. The boss came to my hse and was friendly n did a no obligation quotation, the boss told me that the net they used is of high quality and could last at least 10 years n even if the net is torn the replacement is not expensive.
Well the mosquito net last me 3 yrs and the replacement of the net plus transportation will cost me close to 70% of the price that I install for that panel.
I called up the boss and his attitude is like ’ if you think we r expensive go to other co ’ … we try to call up other co and most dun do replacement/fixing unless the product is from them.
Parents please know wat u getting into before u decide to spend the $ to install the roller insect screen.
