Weekly diary and "Zhou Ji"

Btw, just to add...
There are so many words which
cannot be broken up into separate
pieces, easy enuf for our kiddies to
understand. As for when my girl was
in K1, if i were to assist her in some
challenging words i find she does grasp
it better when i put it to her comically...
For example, how to differentiate principle
and principal... just imagine the principal is
your \"pal\" ie:good friend... so it goes with an
\"a\"...
And dessert comes with 2 \"s\"(es) cos we like
it so much! i learnt these from watching Richard
Scarry together with my girls. So, i do believe we
can learn stuff from TV!
:celebrate:
So, in your instance you can try ermmm....
flour starts with a \"fl\" cos you can blow it away with
a \"ffff....\" (pretend to blow four) and \"our\" come next
to it cos we're blowing OUR own flour.
But i remind them that word is only spelt like that
for easy catch but pronounced as how she says it.
It works for me lah, but you can try and see how, ok? -
Hihi,
nearly forgot to report back my status...
Yup, i hv also started my gals, N2 n K1 on the journal since Sat last week. Didnt buy any new books but got the recycling note pads from my company... oh 1 thing abt my gals, they simply adore my company name.. think its becos its short and simple... so anything with my company logo they will like it
For the N2, as she is still not very confident writing in sentences, i got her to tell me 1 sentence abt her day and i help her write it with magic pens. Thereafter, she trace over it in pencil. Actually, the highlight for them was to be able to draw after writing
For the K1, i told her to just write 3 sentences to describe her day.. she was also quite excited.. Also, i thot it would be good to write in both Eng n Chinese.. so 1,3,5 - chinese, 2,4,6 - Eng.. Sunday is freeplay.. so end up Sunday, she wrote 2 sentences in Eng, 1 in Chinese... for me tat ok...
For now, we hv had 3 nites of writing ( couldnt write last nite cos came back too late).. hope to be able to continue..
The picts were taken with DH hp since our camera has konked out.. so now waiting for DH to download the picts b4 i fig out how to upload...
Thks for the wonderful tips... would also appreciate any suggestions how i can improve to make it more fun.. honestly, i am not veri good at learn-thru-play stuff... so tapping on all the various inputs here to try to make it more fun for my gals

Thanks, Buds. Those are really good tips, but only wish that I am half as creative as you are! And I am really quite clueless when it comes to phonics⦠Well, will observe for another few more days and see if she really needs help (on spelling).
On posting the work, yes, if you could give me some guidance on how to do it. She would be so thrilled! -
No worries, busymom... i can help you on the phonics part as well
if you do need, okie...
For putting up pictures, here's how...
After you click reply, you can see the blue instruction that says
\"Add image to post\" at the bottom left corner under the white reply box..
Click that.
Then, click \"Browse\" to choose where the image was filed.
If it's in your hard disk then click My Pictures or if its in
another device say.... via handphone then click My Computer.
Then select the source ie.usually the handphone brand name.
If it's from camera source, click the storage name.
Select your picture and double click on it.
Following that, you may choose to resize your image as well.
The image specifications/measurements are offered to you
when you click \"Resize:\"
At the \"Image Content:\" Click either options whether the image
you will be posting has \"Adult Content\" or is it safe for all ages ie.
\"Family Safe\"... Once you are done, just click the final \"Upload it!\"
If all else fails, you can email me and i put it up for you oso caaann!
Hope this helps. Cheerios. :celebrate: -
Heyya Poohbear, you're on the right track i see...

I like it that you're very flexible with them and that's
very good! Great job!
And hey, no hard and fast rule over what diary to use
or which notepad to use... and recycling is always
encouraged.
I remember loving all my dad's
company stationeries too!
You're a full-time working mum, so you're oredi doing
a lot to be involved in your children's activities/work.
The creative part can always come here to juice out!
:celebrate:
Thanks for getting back here to update your progress
with them! I love your review! Thanks!
-
Buds, you are so good, truly deserving of your Grandmaster I title! :udawoman:
Thanks for the offer on the phonics:) I will shout for help when need.
Here's the picture of my DD's work yesterday (with DH's help as I need to focus on DD and DS now).

Heyya busymom, you can edit this image by
simply clicking \"Edit\" on the same posting then
uploading the same picture again just like how
you did successfully up here.....
(congrats
on your virgin image posting by the way, keke!)
and this time before you click the \"Upload It\" icon,
just resize it first.
Beside the box that says \"Do Not Resize Image\",
you can click the triangle that points downwards to
lead you to a few resize options and either one of
these options below can make the image bigger
without having members to open it in another tab
or link to view. You can try either :-
320X240 (for websites & email)
or
640X480 (for message boards)
Has your sweetie-pie seen it yet, busymom?
