Does anyone knows how to cook cordeceps to extract out maximum nutrients? Or simply just grind them into powder??

I think grinding them to powder should be one of the best way to extract its maximum nutrients... but I prefer to double boil with pork and a few slices of \"Pao Shen\". Tastes really good and you can practically feel it being absorbed into the bloodstream within minutes... -
Yes I usually double boil with pork or chicken slices.

Double boil ha? How long ha? Just put water, cordeceps (few strings?) and meat?
Too expensive, that’s why cannot experiment! Haha… -
Sigh…recently realised that the cordyceps that I bought some time ago has expired. I keep it in the freezer. Do you think it’s safe to consume after the expiry date?

The price really gone rocket high over e yrs.
I remembered when I was pregnant in 2007, it was only $200+ per Tael =37.5gram. Then throughout e 10 months it went up to $500. A year later it’s $1000. Now I think nearly 2k? I should have bought more and invest haha. -
Freezer is the right place to store Chinese herbs, even beyond its expiry date.
Someone told my mil to consumer all e herbs, esp. cordyceps n ginseng. We would normally boil e 2nd time then eat all e herbs. Never get to waste since it’s so expensive. -

I used to double boil for my DD. Put around 3 pieces with 3 to 4 pieces of lean meat and boil for 90mins in the smallest slow cooker. maybe about 1 to 2 bowl of water. She takes it with rice.Double boil ha? How long ha? Just put water, cordeceps (few strings?) and meat?

The lady at the medicine shop says to boil 7-8 pieces of cordyceps with 1.5 bowl of water. A small amount of pork will do eg 200-300 grams... If you want o add Pao Shen, then add 8 pieces of it. According to the lady, the above quantity is recommended for 1 person...Double boil ha? How long ha? Just put water, cordeceps (few strings?) and meat?
