my DD is P3. She will go for LAMDA exam in Term 3. She told me they must memorize the 1.5 pages’ story during LAMDA exam.

in the coming month of July, is there any seminar for parents by RGPS school on ‘Preparing Your P1 Child into RGPS’ ?

For P2, the individual test paper will indicate class highest & average score.
No indication on class & cohort position on report card though, although from what I heard it's quite a common practise for other schools. -
:thankyou: mwchua, for prompt reply :imcool:

Just saw from MOE website, there is a reduced intake for this year registration compared to the last few years:
http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/primary-one-registration/vacancies/#bukit-timah
The intake will be 270 instead of 300. -
P1 got 30 pupils per class ...means 2012 P1 next yr total got 9 classes instead of usual 10. why cut down by 1 class ? is it bec shifting to Mt Sinai, not enough classroom there, so reduce ?
think those registering under phase 2B affected ? balloting sure within < 1 km ? -
cut down by 1 class is a lot … means 30 students out of balloting, dun even have chance to ballot, compared to past few years where got 10 classes. think phase 2C badly affected ?

wah! many Primary schools decrease P1 new intake, 2012:-

Henry Park, Pei Hwa, Rosyth all decrease -
There will be 9 classes for P1 in 2012. So there will be at least 3 classes lesser by 2014 when they move to the holding school or even more if they were to decrease further to 240.
I think probably there will still not enough classes to take in 300 P1 yearly after the upgrading at hillcrest for single session.
Hopefully the PVG committee was aware of this when they took in the PV as they can reduce the number of PVs intake to avoid disappointments.
