I have been sending my girl to Lorna Whiston for the past 2 years (from N2 to K2)…I could see good improvement in her language!

Every week, she will bring back 2 books from the class and there is how she has built up her reading skill. On top of it, I could see her coping well with grammer. Frankly, I didn’t spend enough time to coach her English (coz I was Chinese educated) and I would say she learnt it mostly from the Kindergarten and Lorna Whiston.

Hence, I will recommend Lorna Whiston. In fact, my neighbour’s kid has attended Lorna Whiston since K1 until today (her kid now is in Sec 2 studying in Nanyang girls)…

Just called to enquiry for K2 kids. No more vacancy left now and they dont hve a branch in the west. Since no vacancy, they didnt mentioned abt the charges. 😞

As for I CAN READ, I finds it too expensive. Cannot really afford.

              Deb,

Tried the community centres. It's about $75 a term.

For nursery is $170 for 8 lessons. 1.5hr/wk

Think will be slightly higher for K1/K2 but still much cheaper than I CAN READ or Lorna Whiston.

The class size is 6 kids. I think they only have 2 intake per year for nursery level. Lesson is held at teacher’s home. My gal was in the waiting list for half a year before getting a place this year. She’s in the foundation course for nursery level. For crash course K1/K2, i think the teacher will open a class once there’s enough student.
