Peonies:
Hi, what does CSR stand for?hmmmmm...this thread has been quite quiet.
I work flexible hours too. My bestie (also a mummy)just set up a CSR agency and roped me in to help her! It's really very fun and meaningful work compared to what we were slogging for in the past.
I had been freelancing as and when there were suitable opportunities before this CSR position came along. Really hope to earn some decent money while maintaining work-life balance now that I have a family. -
Corporate Social Responsibility. My company is like a PR/Communications agency that specializes in CSR, main focus is working with corporate clients and the charities for now.

Hello - new to the PT club. Just started this year after more than 15 years of full time work !
DD1 - 9
DD2 - 8
Working PT is tough, same amount of work with less time to complete ...trying to cope as best as I can..fortunately I have a nice & supportive boss & good working environment

Hi,
I’m a FTWM. My current job does not allow me to convert to a part-time basis. Can any kind souls advise what are some of the part-time jobs available and how to search for them?
Thanks! -
Hi, this is a really quiet thread, but I'll still like to join and add my 2-cents' worth!
I think some types of jobs or industries are better suited to PT/freelance arrangements than others. Some industries are also more established in accepting PT/freelance workers than others.
I'm in the publication and education lines which have long been open to part-timers, so when DS came along, I went PT. Like workingmum, I don't find it easy being PT/freelance, plus there are no employee benefits, medical, etc., but I like the flexibility

What is PTWP?
-
Hi everyone!
I’m aspiring to be a PTWP eventually. Care to share how most of you settled your kids before juggling a part time job? Did most of you do it when your kids entered primary school? It seems quite tough juggling when they are under age 7 and are not in a half day or full day programme in school. If i have no full time helper, wonder how that might work out? -
Hi moms (any dads?),
I’m a newbie to KSP and new to this club. Have two sweet DDs - DD1 (2008), DD2 (2010), recently converted to PT work in June after 10 years FT in the same job. Very fortunate as boss and colleagues are understanding, no snide remarks (feel sorry for some of you who have to put up with the nasties). Sometimes miss my pay but most times, feel happy to have extra time with my girls. My work requires quite some travelling. So on the months that I anticipate travelling, I can go back to FT and come back to PT during the lull months. I also run a small business during my free time.
Reasons for going PT:
1) wanted more time with DDs, hb travels alot for work
2) no full time help (after 5 maids, i decided enuff was enuff)
3) needed to relieve MIL as only DD1 is in Pre-nursery. DD2 is at home all day.
So here’s my addition to the list.
