There will be 9 classes for P1 in 2012. So there will be at least 3 classes lesser by 2014 when they move to the holding school or even more if they were to decrease further to 240.
I think probably there will still not enough classes to take in 300 P1 yearly after the upgrading at hillcrest for single session.
Hopefully the PVG committee was aware of this when they took in the PV as they can reduce the number of PVs intake to avoid disappointments. -
means maybe 2013 P1 new intake cut down to 8 classes, then come 2014 intake reduce to 7 classes, starting Mount Sinai ?
-
if that’s the case, not just reduce the number of PVs as each yr intake declines, but those under phase P2A2, better upgrade to P2A1!

What i mean is in 2012 P1 will have 9 classes, that will be 1 class lesser.
If we assume 2013 intake remains as 9 classes, that will be 2 classes lesser; 9 classes for P1 and P2 (P2 in 2013 come from the P1 in 2012 which is 9 classes).
If in 2014 we assume the intake still remains as 9 class, that will be 3 classes lesser; 9 classes for P1, P2 and may be 7 for P3 (now 8 for P3).
It will be even lesser classes if they cut further...... -

does the school give class position and cohort position, in exam results?
both were not indicated in the report book but for class position you can ask during the PTC but not the cohort position as the school thinks that it is not healthy to disclose it..... -
:thankyou: KSP, for detailed explaination.
much appreciated!

based on the P1 registration statistics from 05-10 all got in, but this year would be tough.....

agree, entry into 2012 P1 is competitive & tough. Need to have fall back contingency plan, maybe consider Bukit Timah primary …
