Oh, she talks in such a firm tone so i started to suspect my own understanding. And any mom knows how many PV JWPS accepted for every year? Do they play the same tactic as West Grove Pri by accepting more than they can offer and end up going thru balloting for PV parents under 2B? I have served around 10 hrs in JWPS but considered to quit coz i have to travel a lot and could not commit the time. and of coz the other reason is that I might not be secured a place even if I serve 40 hrs ... and in the end might still go thru balloting

oh, how do you interpret this chart? It means for previous years, there is no balloting under phase 2B for JWPS? I was told by a PRC mom who has been doing PV in this school that the chance to get a seat in Phase 2B for those doing PV is less than 50%.

Then she's mis-informed.

Looking at the table (not the chart at the beginning of the page), phases that require balloting are highlighted by a coloured cell - red for within 1km, yellow for within 2, and green for beyond 2km.

For JWPS, the cells are not coloured under phase 2B...meaning all who
registered under phase 2B got a place in the school.

That said, past history is no guarantee of what will transpire in the upcoming registration.

No, my DD1 is not in West Grove.

We were in Phase 2B and thankfully, we did not have to ballot for her. It was still nerve-wrecking as the stakes were high..

Somehow when I read that Frontier will have its registration at phase 2B, I got the impression that EVERYONE gets to register at phase 2B.

But now that I thought more about it...does that mean only the Grassroot Leaders get to register for Frontier at phase 2B???

Actually, since it is a brand new school, there won't be so many applicants in P2B that will change events in P2C, right? So, perhaps that's why everyone gets to register at P2B?
