There's another type of cultured cordyceps, much cheaper, it is cordyceps militaris (cultured without the insect, only use the spores). Taste wise ok. Only $15, not sure if it's nutrient can match those grown fm the insect, but for soup, I think it's ok.

Never heard of cultured cordyceps before. You bought it from SGP medical hall?

        前辈,

channelnewsasia reported sometime last year about a firm in KL doing the culturing. but i bought mine at hock hua tonic pte ltd. the saleslady told me to cook with soup or just boil with water, pao shen and red dates, drink like tea ... good for respiratory sys n complexn. one bottle can use 4x for 3-4 people.

Personally, after going out of the box, and started doing my own research, I found some herb outside the traditional chinese herbal system that cured myself of chronic bronchitis ,frequent running nose and flu-like symptoms.

Try looking at this African herb called Pelargonium Sedoides. I was cured of chronic bronchitis by this. And yes...cordyceps and ginseng didn't help me much. this herbs is very effective for cold also.
