KSP:
KSP, :goodpost: - End of the day, it really boils down to our child's ability to cope academicallythere are so many different thoughts when talking to different parents....
* some said pri sch is a 6yrs marathon, if we start to stress ourselves too early we might burn out b4 the child even reach P6....Quite Agree
* some said PSLE prep starts from P1.....Ermm...not really agreeable
* some said put more effort in P3 and P5... when the child understand P3 work P4 will be a smooth sailing... likewise for P5/6....TOTALLY AGREE!!
* some said wait till P5/6 then start to prep for PSLEErmm...not really agreeable
* some said prep for GEP, once your child gets in then it will be smooth sailing to A level....never think of that leh
* some....... just let it be......
whatever it is, i think it is all depend on the child's ability to absorb whatever that are taught in class (school or enrichment) or home (by parents) and apply them during the exam....

yeah KSP, depends on the child is definitely true cos every child is unique but there are certain milestones(eg. P3, P5) that are common to be aware of because there is some basic standardisation in the curriculum. I would say P3 is adjustment milestone, P4, P5 are "change gear" milestones.

No textbook gave me a hard time till my child teacher recommended worksheets available now for P3 English. Series called "Companion Booklets", some schools are using now. Teacher also introduce new text & workbook which was collaborated with Stellar, known as Marshall Cavendish English.

Hi fastcar,
:welcome: on board this thread :grphug: .
Like to tell us about your child and school he/she studying?
Yes, agrees - NO TEXTBOOK makes me feel :frustrated: :nunchuk:
My child's school also has Marshall Canvedish textbook and Workbook, which I have shared in this thread:
http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=18897
But I find that it is not very useful  .....
Can you share with us a little bit more about the Companion Booklets and which are the new M.C. textbook and workbook your child's teacher is introducing?
:thankyou: -

\"fastcar\" shares in the above thread,\"There is a series by Marshall, noticed it was collaborated with MOE. I saw it at recent book fair called English P3. Heard some schools are using now. They even have booklets, grammar handbook and workbook.\"
Any parents here, your kid using the M.C. series books in school?
