Hi
I can feel your stress in trying to be KHS PV after reading the threads. I was never a PV but from the understandings from my friends who were PV, the selection was not that strict few years back. Perhaps it happened that this round of PV volunteers are very "good" and there could be more parents who want to put their children in KHS as the new premise of "future school" will be ready soon. -
Hi Ningy, from my understanding, if there are no proper examinations, students will not bring back their report books. This is what happened to my P3 when he was in P1(CA1 &2), P2(CA1 & 2) & P3(CA1). From what I noticed, some of the components such as marks from projects or assignments were scheduled to be completed after the eg. CA1 term, hence the teachers will not be able to include all the marks from all the assignments & projects into the respective components such as CA1, 2 and SA1 (for 2010 P1 onwards). This is especially for those levels who have started the "no exams" programs.
For my P3, he was the 1st batch who has started this "no exams" program in 2009 P1 for CA1 & 2. As for 2010 P1, they only have exams in SA2. So, your child may only be bringing back the report book at the end of the year, after SA2. -
Hi,
May I know what’s more in the new premisses when it’s ready in Jun 2012? I passed by last month and the extension (formally was Chung Cheng High) had a indoor sport hall. Is that belong to Kong Hwa? That area is very big if it going to belong to Kong Hwa. Will there be any before/after school care?

Thanks junemum72.
The progress of the new building is quite slow. Not surprise if it's not ready by mid of 2012.junemum72:

Originally it supposed to be ready by end this year but it got delayed to mid 2012. I heard its quite firm it will be ready by then but anyway we wont know until nearer to date.

I happened to pass by KHS a few times this week & each time I felt depressed looking at its slow progress. Seems to me it would be a miracle that it can be ready for occupancy by mid 2012. It looks to me that DS2 might not be back at this location next year for his psle.

Anyone knows when is SA2 typically? End sep/early oct?

May I know does the sport day still same as before? The 5 schools from HKHK come and compete? This was one of the most memorable I had.

Thanks Pinkie for your clear explanation. So, next yr P3 also no report book b4 June holidays.
