volcano:
Im also under P2B for my DD1. I can feel that there will balloting within 2km. Those outside 2km maybe no chance at all. U will be under 1-2km if under caregiver' address but u must go MOE asap to declare.parents, i would be enrolling my gal to Bukit Panjang Primary School, but in pharse 2B. anyone know will there still be balloting rounds for pharse 2B? Because i am staying >2km from the school. Am wondering should i register under caregiver's address, does it make a different?
thanks. -
Hi Parents,
I know you are getting the jitters being 1st timers registering kids for P1.
All the best to you. -
agentcodybank:
You can pretty much forget this because Poi Ching traditionally@ Poi Ching School - Phase 2CS ?? (2-3km using own add)
had balloting for those living within 2km in Phase 2C. So you will not
even have a chance to ballot in 2C, and all places will be filled
at the end of 2C. -

did i miss out any ‘all Boys’ or ‘all Girls’ school ? -
phttp, how did you get 6.75 classes for SCGS?
-
assume 30 pupils per class.
SCGS intake has 200 pupils.
200/30 = 6 and two third -
why Cannosa convent so small intake (4 classes) ?
why CHIJ Good Counsel also small (5 classes) ? -
not sure where to post this …
a) suppose a child has some learning difficulty.
If he fail in end of P1, will he be automatically pushed up to P2 ? or asked to repeat P1 ? does MOE allow repeat, or been banned ? how do schools handle ‘special’ kids in mainstream ?
b) will the treatment be different - if this kid doesn’t have any learning difficulty at all ? -
phtthp:
How would you define learning difficulty? Honestly, my daughter in P1 this year is considered slow. I wouldn't say it's due to 'year-end child' thing but she picks up rather slow and has problems remembering...constantly requiring reminders. However, her teacher is very patient with her. I revise with her frequently too...was told some kids need time to adjust to primary school. Certainly hope so :xedfingers:not sure where to post this ...

Thanks Janet, for your prompt reply.
your daughter is fine, ok - she doesn't face any learning difficulty. Constant daily revision will help her to remember facts well.
i am thinking ... so far, how effective are those 'Allied Educators' in the primary schools ? what kind of help do they actually extend to help kids with dyslexia, speech delay, mild autistic, in mainstream?
