Hi, I'm new here. My hubby is ex-ATS and our son is going to register for P1 this coming july for year 2012. I would like to get to know more parents here

I'm staying in Sembawang area, any parents from this area who's kids are also going to ATS P1 next year 2012? -
Hi everybody:
I am new here. Wanted to check if anyone of you belongs to the members of the Singapore Hokkien Huay Kwan? -

May I seek your opinion that if you are given a choice to chose between AiTong and PoiChing, which 1 will you chose? why?
My boy will be going to P1 next year. Quit confused which to go?
Is distance an issue? I m currently reside in Tampines. My girl is in PoiChing P5 this year. But my husband wants to register my boy in AiTong as I m the ex-ATS. But I m afraid that the distance will tired him although I will be fetching him.
Pse advise. -

Poi Ching is also a gd school. If i were you, i will stick to Poi Ching then. For me, I am abit stuck like you too. I am ex ATS and my gal is P1 nxt year. I will be shifting to the East (quite near to you) in around November. So now I am deciding should i let my gal go for ATS? Alot of pple say it is a waste to give up but i scared it will tire her. I check school bus, the operator told me pick up ard 11 and reach home btw 7.30-8pm. If i give up, i will have to go for any normal neighbourhood school which not even have Poi Ching standard.
KWDmum, maybe you shld do a car pool for me then if you put yr son in ATS. haha. -
no problem. will let u know if i decide to put my boy in ATS.
Just call to check with ATS and PCS, there is no entry test during the orientation. At least not so stress now.
So, r u going to enrol your kid in ATS? -
I really don't know. My hb say try out first and if too stress/tiring for her, then swop her back to the east. I feel bad for her if she got to reach home almost 8 if by bus and then still need dinner, shower, homework etc.
at least you still can fetch your son on Yr own so not that tedious. I think her day will be very long. -

btw, what do you mean by entry test? a test for the children to sit in during orientation right?no problem. will let u know if i decide to put my boy in ATS.

i think alot of school does it but they don't actually split the children into classess according to their grade. they just want to gauge each children standard only. -
Hi Parents,
I am new here. Am blessed to be given the choice of Pei Chun Public School and Ai Tong. Can anyone kindly share which would be your preference if you were in my shoes?
Thanks
