Seems like this group is the most unsecured in the Phase 2B group?

Those in PV and GRL should already know where they stand.

Why the need to shortlist after P2A2... aren't there supposed to be balloting if there are more applicants?

Since there will unlikely be balloting for phase 2A2, they should know the number of places available by the close of 2A2 on 12 July. When they actually meet is anybody’s guess though.


But if I were them, I would have consolidated all the names by now, and arranged them in order of priority. So once they know how many recommendations to make (eg. 12), then just take the first 12 names on the list and issue the recommendation.

yes this group is the most unsecured in phrase 2b which sometimes i do regret not applying for PV. for some schools under clan too popular and they cannot release more than too many to do balloting. for popular school imagines they release letters to 100 parents + pv for school+ rc to ballot for maybe only 30 places, not feasible loh

anyone knows for nan chiau, they are still enrolling 300 students or they are reducing this year?

for clan schools, SHHK already tell applicants upfront that membership is no security that they will be able to register in 2B.


Daddy D is right in that there is absolutely no security. So pp wishing to go by this route shouldn’t think that it’s ‘bao jia’.

But despite all that hype, I still don’t think the criteria is that tough - so don’t lose faith.

frankly speaking, in year 2001 to 2003, it is really bao to go in cos not many members but after that everyone knows can go through the clan way, no more bao. now have to cross my fingers and wait

i know the council will meet to decide who will get the recommendation letter but i just wonder do they meet straight after the 2A2 registration over or have to wait until 14 th july Thursday then they have the meeting. There is a difference leh as it will mean for us who are waiting for the recommendation letter when to call them. i think i might be going straight down to huay kuan or call up them up

They told me can call on 14 July itself. If you are calling to check what time to call on 14th, please post their reply here. I don't dare call anymore. Think they are sick of my questions and may end up black marking me :oops:

since you asked when to call, okay my turn to email them wat time to call them. i dun dare to call too cos they normally got a lot of calls during these periods so they might not have the patience to entertain. :lol:

I wonder why they can’t just post results on website. What is the concern?


The other feedback I gave them was that their faq says results will be posted to school n that school will contact us. But shhk tells me not to contact school but to check w them 1st. Like that v confusing exactly what parents should do. Already v stressful over whether can get our kids into a suitable pri school. Must huay kuan add to our stress??!!
