To all the experienced mommies, is it a good idea to bring your child to the P1 registration exercise? Am wondering if it will be beneficial for my girl to take alook at the school. What do you all think?
better don't
what if after seeing the school, your girl says she does not like it.
what if she likes it and gets all exicted about it, but balloting failed? -

Mummies:
My girl returned with a flyer from her pre sch regarding a seminar. 'Preparing your child for Primary Sch' by MOE.
Not sure how it is but from the flyer it seems that several schs in the neighborhood came together to come up with a programme.
I live in the Simei, Tampines area and the flyer I have says the programme will be showcasing
1) Chongzheng Pri
2) East Spring Pri
3) Gongshang Pri
4) Griffiths Pri
5) Junyuan Pri
6) Qiaonan Pri
7) Yumin Pri
Are there mummies living in the vicinity of PLMGS? Is there a similar seminar being held for the schools there? If so, can u let me have the email add for registration?
Greatly appreciated.

qms:
You may want to de-register him from the first school on the afternoon of 29 Jul instead of 27 Jul. Thereafter, proceed to your school of choice in P2C.celtricia:
I wan to try DS in another sch nearer to hm based on P2C, which reg dates are on 27 - 29 Jul,
Shld I c tat the P2C choice of sch has high chance for him to get in, when shld I de-register him frm P2A2 choice of sch?
On 27 Jul itself? De-register frm P2A2 sch in morning and noon time register him at P2C sch?
Situation may look optimistic on 27 Jul, but come 29 Jul, anything can happen. Hence, it's better to wait till the third day of P2C registration.
usually there are many people in the morning of the first day and afternoon of the last day. so at least wait till lunch time of the last day to see the stats and weigh your odds. -

Also, I see primary school open house flyers from Cedar Primary and Montfort. This is new to me though she is my 3rd and definitely last child as I didn't see that with the older kids when they were in pre-school. Is primary school open house something new in recent years? -
Good luck to all parents who are registering their child this year.
Yes, today is the 1st day of the process. Mum called me early this morning and said.... today is the beginning of P1 registration, have you registered your little one???? Just last week, pils asked me the same questions too. This is making me excited about the once a year P1 registration process.
Yes, I've submitted her forms for Phase 1 but still pending school's acknowledgement. Their query made me jittery :nailbite: and called school to check if they have sent the acknowledgement. So i am still waiting. Nothing is confirmed until I see that letter. Imagine some freak accident if they missed her out due to human error in the process  This is after all the mentality of a kiasu and kanchiong parent. -
Daddy
you are P2C also?
