TREX8:
Hi Funx3, my DD applied for both NYGH and RGS too. So will share some infor with you.

For RGS- after submitting online form, need to print out cover page (on which you attach DD's photograph), personal statement (based on 1 of the 2 topics given, must be handwritten, not more than 500 words, and your DD need to sign at the end to say that it is her work), certified true copies of P5 and P6 results, and cheque. I think RGS is now in the process of doing GAT (my DD need not do GAT) so no news for us from RGS yet, although my friend's DD did her GAT on 20 June.

For nygh - everything is esubmission, just need to submit cheque. The good thing about nygh DSA is we can track progress using the same website for DSA application. When I last checked, still no progress for DD (pending interview, pending offer).

Good luck!
Funx3:

Oh I've just Checked yesterday ....
For academic Results,
NYGH No Need Certified True Copy, but
RGS Specify Must be Certify True Copy ....
😉 😉

Thanks A Million, TREX8!
U R An :imanangel: ! :snuggles: :snuggles:

Will Pop Down to My Gal's Sch to Certify True Copy her Results ....
Then Both of US .... Can :hugs: :hugs: And Support Each Other ....
To all waiting for RI's GAT - RI's GAT for 8 July has been notified.

Will be very stress to those boys who take RI GAT on 8 July and HCI selection test on 9 July.

All the best.

Anyone receive any news about RI Interview for GEP domain?

Thank you
BD

Initially we thought about taking the ACSI Hast on the 8/7/2011 but changed our mind in the end.
Or else they would be a clash of timing.
Why don't you call up ACSI to check if they can reschedule the test? Or alternatively, RI has a few test dates (8, 13, 15 Jul), so they may be able to slot you for another date? It is a pity to give up one sch at so early a stage.....

Yes, agreed with RSS. For those above 80%, \"interview is just a formality to see if you are sane, human, not autistics etc.\". Base on my knowledge, no Gepers above 80% for SA1 got rejected.

I have few friends DS who sorce above 80% for SA1 apply for RI DSA last year, during the interview, they just asked a few simple questions and all of them received CO. No one get rejected. So just relax and wait for the CO letter from RI and get ready to go Bibi Baba to buy the all white uniform....
Blur Dad,

What about those who border-line 80%? Above 80 but only borderline - my DS one of them. Will RI also treat them the way u mentioned - that is ask simlke questions during the interview? I'm quite worried till I heard most of DS' classmates had to go for GAT, n some had not even been called up for GAT yet.

So when you and DS are at BiBi BaBa, when they ask you which school uniform you want. You have to answer with \"head up\" and loudly say \"RAFFLES INSTITUTION\" ok. Then some customers will turn their head and look at you...haha. Feel Good Manz!!!

And if your boy is wearing his pri sch uniform....that will really cause a stir..... :faint:

Blur Dad, are you already visioning that?

You mean your son scored 80.x%. I guess, I guess should be able to get CO. To my understanding, RI takes in about 175 GEPers (base on last year infromation) via DSA. Unless that are more then 175 GEPers boys scored higher more then 80% and higher then your DS. To what I know, as long as those who scored 80.00% and above, no need to go for GAT. They will group them together for interview and very, very high chance will get CO from RI. But again anything can happen, so please don't quote me.

Please do not think of it that way. There is at least 170-180 vacancies in RI for the GE boys. It cannot be all 170 - 180 of them are having average above 80%. Good luck and keep cool! Anyway, sometimes things are fated - what is yours is yours!

Don't worry - will not quote you. I'm just worried about his performance during the interview.

Already stressed by his science which dropped drastically this year, thus bringing his overall % down. He never had any tuition - but now I realized he may need intensive revision since e school is not doing much. A bit off-topic, but anyone has good tutors or centers to recommend, pls PM me.

Thank you.
