Can't think of a boys' school in BT. There is MGS and RGPS (all girls). Maybe this is the reason why Nanyang, Henry Park and Pei Hwa are so hot in BT...being co-ed schools.

Do you let your boy play the computer game everyday ? Or he is computer genic and must turn on the \"Power\" to gear into online worksheets that daddy gives everyday as computer assignment ?

St Joseph Junior, ACS Barker, ACS Junior....if consider whole Bukit Timah stretch...

St Joseph Junior, ACS Barker, ACS Junior....if consider whole Bukit Timah stretch...[/quote]SJI Junior is out of BT. ACS Junior/SCGS is not under 'Bukit Timah' zone. Schools are carved out under diff 'zone' like GRCs during election.

You mean h/w? No, we do it the old fashion way ...... pencil, paper and the occasional nagging.

I can never do that. It breaks my heart to see ds miserable. As long as he does his work daily, I'm fine with the order of things.

My ds only sleeps 8 hrs a day, which looks like not enough. We just had a debate whether to cut his game time or study time so that he can sleep earlier.

How do you conclude 8 hrs is not enough?

Mine needs >8 hrs. Elder boy will get dizzy spells, P4 boy will be unable to focus. Both gets panda eyes too.

mine p4 boy sleeps 7+ hours only. But if he has nothing on in the afternoon, he may nap 1 hour. so total about 8 hours?

Play first, work later worked w/o a hitch during lower pri years.

For the recent Jun hols, he was supposed to read 3 CL story books and completed a EL reading card. Throughout the 4 weeks, I asked how's the progress. Then last Sun, tell me the EL reading card is not completed, he cant go to sch on Mon :slapshead: And dropped another bomb on me when he came back from sch on Mon- needs to finish reading another 2 CL storybooks becos he only read 1 in the sch hols.

I think he takes after my hubby whereas my elder boy takes after me.

My ds sleeps around 10.30pm and up by 7.30am, exercise a lot, eats a lot >> \"hunky\" with a \"tummy\"...
My ds2 sleeps around 10.30pm till about 9am, exercise slightly less, eats very little >> tall but skinny till can see the rib bones...
My conclusion : diet still the most important control

so I think sleeping more might not help to grow although it will help to improve concentration at school!!
